MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS:

ZOI SANDY began her art journey at Buffalo State College majoring in Art Education and Elementary Ed. Along the way she discovered the art of stained glass and enrolled in a class at a local glass shop. She was hooked.

In 1996, while Zoi was working for Minneapolis Public Schools in ESL as a teacher, she and her husband John (see below) started a premier resource for glass enthusiasts of all levels, Glass Endeavors in South Minneapolis.

They operated Glass Endeavors for the next 26 years, winning multiple awards and accolades from peers, teaching stained glass, fusing, mosaics, doing glass repair and building windows for homes and churches.

JOHN SANDY attended Moorhead State University for a BFA in painting and drawing followed by attending University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, with a teaching assistantship, where he received an MFA in painting and drawing. He then taught painting and drawing at Millard Fillmore college in Buffalo NY for 4 years and has taught stained glass at all levels, color, and design for stained glass artists, drawing, in addition to holding a Life Drawing Co-op every week for 2 years.
