Frequently Asked Questions

What Does Artistry Do?

We produce theater, curate exhibitions, and offer classes and workshops at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. We also work with teaching artists to provide arts experiences for people of all ages, incomes, cultural backgrounds, and abilities in community settings (e.g., schools, libraries, social service organizations) throughout the greater Twin Cities, in collaboration with more than 75 partners. And, as a key partner of the City of Bloomington, we facilitate arts-centered community development in the rapidly developing South Loop district and other neighborhoods.

How does Artistry relate to the Bloomington Center for the Arts and the City of Bloomington?

Artistry is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the largest tenant of the Bloomington Center for the Arts (BCA), which is owned and operated by the City of Bloomington. The BCA is also home to six other independent nonprofit arts organizations that vary widely in mission and programming, and to an annual performance series presented by the City.
